The perks of this townhouse: location! Walking distance from the boardwalk! Easy access to the beach. Enough bedrooms to stretch out. The kitchen is well stocked. Beautiful views! I’ll try to post some pics. Access to the beach is under the house. For older folks — know that you will need to walk up an incline through the dunes when coming off of the beach. I would have given five stars because the host was quick to respond, but we had some “first-world problems” with the door keypad (not working for a day or two) and thermostats needing batteries, elevator not working for a couple of days. With a house - things like this happen. Any homeowner gets it. The host was quick to respond which was helpful. We had a great trip and I appreciate the use of the home. Thank you Chris!

Great property and location. Everything was walkable. The space was perfect for our family. Kids were off their phones putting together puzzles (thanks for all the options). Wonderful trip. Will book again.

Our family had a wonderful vacation at Carolina Beach in this home. It was extremely well stocked. The location was excellent as we rented golf carts and did not move our vehicles after we arrived. The communication from the owner was excellent and very quick. We will be returning to this house in the future.

This is a very nice three story (four, if you count the ground level) house in an excellent location in Carolina Beach. It is on the beach, has beautiful views, is near a lake park (with a playground) and within walking distance of the boardwalk and decent restaurants. Parking and wifi service are good. The kitchen is nice. So, what's not to like? During my stay, there were a number of maintenance issues:1.) The elevator did not work at all. This was particularly a problem checking in and out. The owner had the cleaner and the handyman try to fix it, but with no results.2.) There was a brand new gas grill - but - the labels, etc. were left on it for me to remove, the gas tank wasn't installed for several days, and then no grill tools were available. The rusty old grill was supposed to be hauled away, but it never was.3.) The water dispenser on the fridge had a clogged filter. A new one was provided the next day, but I had to install it.The 'normally reliable' handyman never showed up when he was supposed to; he was hours late. For example, a 'first thing in the morning' appointment ended up at 2pm. So, I spent a good part of my vacation waiting on him (or doing maintenance) rather than relaxing and enjoying myself.
