Scrupulously clean, great attention to detail, good breakfast.

A fantastic place to make a luxury stop in the Caminho Português do Interior. The silent countryside, the greenery and the pool to de-stress your back after a long journey with the backpack...
The only thing I would suggest is to serve breakfast earlier than 8 AM (especially because the walk to Viseu is long , very long under the summer sun...)

Very clean and neat. Rooms are nicely appointed. Bathroom was spacious, and plenty of hot water. Nice shower, with both rainfall and handheld shower wand. Plenty of choices for breakfast, from the typical meats/cheeses/breads/coffee, to cereal and fruit and beverage choices. They'll also make you scrambled eggs if you'd like. Staff was pleasant. Very quiet.
Main complaint is that the mattresses in our room were not much better than sleeping on a camp cot. Could not get a good night's sleep. Hopefully they are in the process of replacing mattresses. When your main reason for lodging is for getting a good night's sleep, it's sort of important.
