The property was clean and well-furnished - thank you for the linens! Modern and efficient. Very close to the town of Woodstock, including market, restaurant, shops.

While this was probably one of the nicest properties I’ve stayed at, it was also the most disappointing. Day of check in we received a list of the house rules which felt overly rigid for a vacation rental (no eating or drinking anywhere but the dining table). When we arrived the house was 40 degrees and the floor and furniture were stone cold. We felt the cold on our feet because one of the house rules is no shoes allowed inside the house. It took about 5 hours for the house to warm up which ruined our first night. The house manager apologized and explained that the cleaning lady must have turned off the heat. We chose this house because it had a hot tub which unfortunately didn’t stay hot in the winter temperatures. The house manager confirmed the hot tub’s limitations and gave us a $150 refund when we asked for compensation. We’ve stayed at plenty of properties in freezing temperatures and never had this problem. The hot tub should be replaced or its limitations should be disclosed in the listing for winter renters. We could have stayed at a comparable house without a hot tub for less money and the $150 credit didn’t make up for the difference. If a hot tub isn’t important to you then this place is worth considering for its cleanliness, charm, and location.
