Kintail Lodge Hotel

Noisy room at top of steep stairs

The beautiful location

The shower. Not enough pressure

What a lovely hotel, right on the loch shore! We arrived too late for dinner but the breakfast was very tasty. Our room was clean and spacious, and looked out over the loch: marvellous! We spent the evening in one of the reception rooms with our friends, just chatting and relaxing after a gruelling few days on the road.

Not much, really! Apart from the lack of an elevator (lift), but that's not surprising in a quaint place like this.

The lodge is set in an absolutely amazing spot, with stunning surroundings that make it a truly memorable location. The personnel and the manager were all very kind and welcoming. Fine meals.

We did feel that the price was quite high compared to the overall services offered. The dinner and breakfast areas lacked atmosphere and coziness for such an amazing guest house by the lake. Our room had a mattress with one side noticeably deeper from frequent seating, which made sleeping uncomfortable. There seemed to be too few staff members at times to maintain the level of service one might expect at this price point.
