Mercede Rooms

Fabio is a great host. The terrace is fantastic and the place is super central. Early check in was very helpful. We had a good time and i can really recommend this place.

The room was spacious and the bed quite comfortable. Fabio, the contact person, was very helpful and accommodating including with a request to leave my luggage in a safe space as I had my computer there.

For the price I paid I expected something a little bit more proper. The street where the building is located is quite dirty, dark and loud. There are kids going around the block with very loud motorbikes which echo a lot in those small streets. I was sleeping with earplugs and still got woken up, which never happens. Also the breakfast is quite limited, which is a pity because Sicilian food and pastries are so great that it would add a lot of value to the stay with very little effort or money. The bathroom needs a bit of maintainance and the hairdryer wasn’t working. They also only provide for shower gel and no other toiletries whatsoever.

Everything was great, for the price you pay you get very good accommodation. The location is also awesome and close to tourist attractions (10 minutes walk or bus). Both host and staff were lovely people. Breakfast was served in an area in accommodation(good range of food, if you’re not picky you will find something definitely). I read some reviews that mentioned noise from the street, but we didn’t have any issues :) thank you!

The host Fabio was very helpful when we encountered some issues with heating in our room.

I thought there was a terrace that all guests could access but this was only available to one particular room so I thought this was false advertising. This photo is the only one used for the B & B.
