Super friendly staff. Overall experience is great. Room size was good and very comfortable futon bad. Great place to stay with a stunning view.

Clear directions of landmark to find hotel, private onsen, wide variety of bread and yogurt + eggs+coffee for breakfast. Can store luggage outside the ryokan after check out.
The temperature of spring water was difficult to adjust.

The private Onsen, they have three and it’s clean and amazing. This is the only reason why I’m not giving it a 1
The walls and ceiling are so thin, you could literally hear everything. I happen to have a noisy neighbour at the top and I could not sleep. Tatami mats smelled a bit funny but the staff said it’s normal. Overall, if I knew it was this bad, I wouldn’t have made a stay in Yufuin.
