The Brookmill

Very comfortable bed and pillows. Good selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. There were pots of instant porridge and muffins in the room which was fine for breakfast. A 5 minute walk to nearest train station into London. Great price compared to many other places. Staff were brilliant and very friendly. We called to say we were running late for the 22:00 last check-in and they said this was not a problem.

Lovely room above the busy but friendly pub and restaurant. Room very comfortable. Staff were all very warm and welcoming.

Friendly lady greeted us and she carried my suitcase all the way upstairs for me room was clean and nice bathroom lovely and spacious great location no negatives for me apart from the couple flights of stairs

It was clean. Bed comfy.

We arrived around 8.30pm and the kitchen had shut due to a previous party and staff shortage. It would have been good to have been notified in advance so we could have made alternative plans. We asked if we could order Uber Eats (or similar) and was told yes. However, when it arrived, we were told we would have to eat in our room. We were two colleagues travelling together in separate rooms so it would not be appropriate to eat together. The bar and restaurant were empty. After some discussion we were allowed to eat downstairs but made to feel like we were going to get the staff in trouble and they were doing us an exceptional favour. We'd have happily eaten in the pub restaurant should it have been open.
