You couldn't help but feel like you were in a treehouse in a tropical rainforest. Beautiful plantings all around the property, birds, the coqui frogs at night and even a Jackson's chameleon. The property was as pictured and everything was adequately equipped. We especially enjoyed the porch with the hammock and ping pong table. So close to Volcano NP. Very restful.

Great location and so close to Volcano National Park. We were able to get on the trails before the crowds and avoid the parking chaos that begins around 10:30-11:00am. We purchased food on the way to the house so we could make breakfast, pack lunches and make dinner in the fully stocked kitchen. We had plenty of room for three adults and four kids. We loved how quiet the area was and the huge windows in all of the rooms. And our kids Loved the ping pong table and hammock! The only drawback was when we arrived it was dark and we had difficulty seeing the house numbers. But outside of this one minor comment, we loved everything about this place. We highly recommend it!

2nd time we've stayed here, love the secluded feel of being in the tropical forest but still so close to Volcanoes National Park.

My list of complaints is pretty long - but it started at the gate. Evidentially it has to be closed at all times to keep the feral pigs and cows ( ? ) out but both sides of the gate are wide open. So why bother us about keeping the gate itself closed ???? It was a pain in the butt. Also, the fact that you had to reverse down the driveway then deal with the gate was stupid. They need to make it so you can turn around. The main thing is that every single rental I have stayed in at Volcano had a little book regarding what to do with the trash etc. This one just had random signs posted ( no smoking ) with no clear instructions on anything - especially the trash. The rental itself was okay - not great cause I felt like I was sleeping on someone elses dirty sheets ( Yuk ) I would not stay there again. The communication with the property management re: check in was literally non existent.
