Casa do Rio / Tavira Inn - Adults Only

Casa do Rio is a unique and lovely Inn minutes from Tavira center. Pool was great - room nice with wonderful balcony.

Sebastian was super warm and welcoming and he ran us through the house rules where he drags a glass on the tile floor to demonstrate how noisy he is and everybody can hear it… after that we Felt we needed to be really quiet and whisper which made us laugh. Stinky towels. Like they hadn’t been dried properly. After him running us through the House rules telling us that he provides a minimal service, it felt like we couldn’t really approach him about smelly towels so we just put up with it. Although there is a fridge, there is no kettle or tea/coffee making facilities. We were aware of this at the time of booking so it might seem a little unfair to mention. However by the end of day 3 we realised that a kettle essential. Even if it was in a communal area. Just our personal opinion.

Very central and lovely pool

The pool is amazing. Sea water which meant we didn't need to queue for ages to get the boat to the beach. The the place is uniquely decorated aby Sabastian which was gorgeous. Sabastian himself is lovely. As it is his home, he is always around and can't do enough for you. The location is a 5 minute walk into the town which is perfect. There was a restaurant almost next door if you didn't want to walk into town too.

The mattress was a little springy and not hugely comforatble. It wasn't a huge problem though and it didn't stop us sleeping.
