Altan Hotel

the best: open 24h, clean and big rooms

sometimes the receptionist was not available

The location is conveniently located to the S-Bahn station in a vibrant neighborhood with many shops and restaurants around.

The stairs were a bit challenging to navigate with a heavy suitcase.

It was central, clean, very basic.

Although the room had everything in perfect working order, it was very small, nowhere to sit other than the beds.

Price is alright for what you get

They charged a „Tourist Tax“ of 12 Euros when I checked in. They didn’t state any of that online before I booked the Hotel, it’s something that was brought to my attention only when I arrived. And it’s strange enough that they didn’t accept card nor gave me a receipt for it. The worker at the counter barely spoke German or English (I speak both fluent), it was hard to communicate with him and ask questions. The room was never cleaned during my 5-Days stay, and the bed had white stains on the red fabric from previous visitors.
