Baron Hotel Cairo

Close to International Airport. Great amenities and lovely staff

They did not appear to validate door keys. Twice I had to visit reception to have mine revalidated. Communication between staff/save information re bookings appeared to be lacking. For eg. The night before I booked a Hotel shuttle bus ride to the airport at 04.30. When I arrived at reception to use the service they appeared confused and couldn’t find the booking.

The reception staff, were very accommodating, we arrived very early , but nothing was too much trouble, upgrading our room for us , and allowed us to check in hours before we should. Pasha bar was our favourite, the staff were very welcoming ( one of them doing a spot of first aid on my husband) again they couldn't do enough for you and the nibbles they gave you ( free ) was a lovely gesture. The food here was great also. ( sorry we didn't manage to get names but they were all brilliant).

The staff at Baron Hotel were incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind throughout my entire stay. From day one, they looked after me with such genuine care. I was welcomed with fresh fruits and a glass of orange juice, which was such a thoughtful gesture after a long trip. The rooms were spotless, and the view of the Baron Palace is absolutely stunning truly one of the highlights of staying here. Thank you

The only small downside was my airport transfer: the private driver arranged through the hotel was a bit insistent about receiving extra tips, which was unusual compared to the rest of my experience in Cairo. Other than that, everything was wonderful, and I truly appreciated the hospitality.

The location is great, as are the cleaning staff. I stayed one night the week before and had such a good experience I decided to return, but unfortunately didn't have the same experience at all.

Check in was delayed and complicated. I was first given a key that didn't work, then another which also didn't work, then a different room which hadn't been cleaned, then another room with no key until 'IT' were available several hours later. Service in the top floor restaurant/bar is very poor. At times I waited 15mins before anyone approached me, so I left. Other times my food never arrived, with no apology. Despite communicating this to several staff members and managers, nothing at all was offered to rectify this.
