Breakfast was brilliant and we had a very enjoyable stay.

Fabulous place to stay near the river and on the quiet side of the street. Dinner was delicious and breakfast high quality. It’s very atmospheric and lovely to walk the river path.

We had two deluxe rooms reserved for us and our friends on our first night of Offa’s dyke walk and unfortunately a last minute shower issue in one of the rooms caused a switch to a smaller room which was fine but not as updated and no chairs so a bit disappointed, but still highly recommend.

We thought the food and breakfast was exceptional. The area was lovely and the host was very welcoming.

The rooms were slightly small and there were areas that you had to be careful of the headroom.

Delicious and large breakfast, good location for walks

Our room was on the top floor and in the hot weather it was really hot and stuffy. There was one fan and they kindly provided another when requested but I was surprised it wasn't acknowledged when showing me the room/proactively offered and the blinds being left open when it was sunny on the window probably made it worse. We set up two fans but it was still 29 degrees in the room as we were going to sleep. The floorboards were also all very creaky and loud and it was a little restrictive that the latest breakfast time was 9am
