The Bay House

Hands down the best internet of our entire Sri Lanka stay. Sri Lankan internet sucks, but at this place, it was far better than elsewhere. I was finally able to back up all my videos on Google Photos. The breakfast was also the best we had. We did have similar breakfasts elsewhere, but the quality and presentation were the best here. The decoration was really nice. It is one of the best homestays. In Sri Lanka, you can't find a PickMe tuk-tuk if there's a tuk-tuk stand nearby; it's a syndicate. However, this house's location was good, so we didn't face any issues finding a PickMe tuk-tuk. The host was good. She single-handedly manages everything, so we didn't bother her much.

The washroom was not up to the mark. It was also a bit smelly all the time. If the rooms are 10/10, washroom would be 6/10.

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely and cozy little house, perfectly located just a few minutes’ walk from Weligama Beach. In less than 3 minutes, you can reach one of Sri Lanka’s most vibrant beaches, with endless options for restaurants, cafés, surf lessons, and swimming. The house was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and very well equipped, with air conditioning, a minibar, and a small fridge, which was especially convenient during our stay. It had everything we needed to relax and feel at home after a day at the beach. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and polite, making our stay even more enjoyable. The combination of the excellent location, cleanliness, comfort, and warm hospitality made this place a great choice for our time in Weligama. Definitely worth staying here! We would happily come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Weligama.

Amazing value. The room, location and breakfast was perfect. The room is a bit small so don’t book it if you wanna do yoga in your room. Other than that it’s perfect and can’t be faulted for the location, price and excellent vibes of the host Rashmi and the beautiful family that lives downstairs. Scooter rental shop right next door is very convenient to get you up and running smooth.

Room is pretty small. If that’s your priority be aware. You probably won’t find a better place for that price
