I had a culture shock. The hotel's entrance has a manual rotating door. I thought it was automatic. So I walked in and smashed my head and knee on the glass door. The receptionist had a Dutch stare. I expect her to say sorry or at least offer support or first aid. Nothing, she kept her Dutch frawn

Clean, quiet ,comfortable.

Getting there (as it was an extremely busy time )I found that stressful at the airport. and fear of missing the bus and waiting half an hour.

Although it was away from the airport, it was easy enough to get to on the 180/181 bus from bus stop D2

Walls were really grubby with finger marks in a few different places. No body wash in container in the shower, literally empty. Toilet seat also was broken, so slipped off it as swung right around. The cleaner would definitely have noticed this when cleaning, but obviously having a bad day to forget the body wash as well. When reported to reception in the morning, it still hadn’t been fixed on our return that evening. In fairness, they did offer to move us, but we just wanted to go to bed after a long day exploring Utrecht & Amsterdam. Complementary breakfast was offered instead and accepted.
