The host ensured that the house was spotless and that we had everything we needed despite the last minute booking and late arrival time. Very accommodating and welcoming.

The house is beautiful and has all amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The outside space was also beautiful and offered great views out to the ocean.

From the rooftop the view was expansive; you could see the ocean and the homes all over the mountains. The courtyard with all of the kittens was a highlight each day. There were so many outside seating options that anyone could find a place to be and enjoy sitting outside. It was a very quiet location and private location inside of a highly populated area because of the intentional set up of the owners. The fact that the Afoura house has private parking was a HUGE bonus. There is an AMAZING restaurant at the top of the hill above this home, drive unless you want sore legs the next 2 days, there are lots of steps to the top. There are plenty of close grocery stores. The home was immaculately clean, housekeeping came every day, there was plenty of hot water, the towels were nice, the bed was a little hard but fine.

The parking was tough because the roads and parking lots are all small - get the smallest car you think you can manage and save yourself stress. The kitchen is really a kitchenette with a cook plate, so be ready to make do. The a/c is only in the bedroom so the living area is constantly hot - we had to request fans. This means whoever sleeps out there may be uncomfortable and you may be uncomfortable and not be able to enjoy the living area, especially if you cook. The outside living is shared space with 4 other rentals so expect to see other people and not have outdoor privacy if the other units are fully booked. It would be nice if the complex had a place to wash and dry clothing.

Our house was beautifully restored and furnished; part of an old winery. The double bed in the master bedroom was quite comfortable, though the one in the living was a bit less so. The kitchen was reasonably equipped for a vacation rental. The location was quiet and the shared roof terraces afforded a lovely view out to the sea on the east side of the island. Parking was nearby. Our hostess, Alda, was very helpful and responsive.
