No Borders Hostel

I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay during my first days in Japan! This hostel is truly a little gem. It’s simple, but it has absolutely everything you could need, and what makes it so special is the warm and welcoming atmosphere. With a maximum of just 10 guests, it feels much more like a home away from home than a typical hostel. It’s the little things that make all the difference. For example, they offer breakfast every morning. It might not be a five-star hotel breakfast, but the kindness and thoughtfulness behind that gesture are worth far more than five stars. And what truly makes this place unforgettable is the people. Satoshi, the owner, and his entire team are absolutely wonderful, but I especially want to thank Nagiho for making my stay even more special. Their kindness, patience, and genuine generosity were incredible. They were always happy to answer our endless questions, offer advice about the city, and help us with anything we needed. You can really feel that they care about their guests, and that makes such a difference, especially when you’re in a new country. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hostel to anyone, even those who wouldn’t normally consider staying in one. With rooms shared by just four people, or even two, the experience feels much more personal, comfortable, and welcoming than you might expect. I arrived in Japan needing somewhere to stay, but I left feeling incredibly grateful to have found this little place and the lovely people who make it what it is. If I ever return to Japan as a tourist, there is absolutely no doubt that I will stay here again. Thank you, Satoshi, Nagiho, and the whole team, for making my first days in Japan so memorable. You deserve far more than five stars! ❤️

I absolutely loved my stay here! Such a cosy, welcoming place with a wonderful atmosphere, lovely people and incredibly friendly staff. A special thank you to the owner, who personally helped me resolve an issue I encountered. I truly appreciated his kindness and care. The location is fantastic, with great little shops, opportunities to explore by bike, and an onsen nearby.

This was my first experience in a hostel and I am so glad I went to NBH. The place is so well equipped and Satoshi takes great care of everyone who is staying there. There were many recommendations on things to do and places to dine at! I felt so at home speaking to other travellers and it felt like Satoshi truly thought about everything to make sure you’re comfortable. The rooms were perfect and the beds were so comfy and clean. Bathrooms are very clean and the shared living space was so nice to sit and relax at. Bonus is that there is a free breakfast, Lawsons is literally a 10 second walk away and the train station connects you to everywhere. I loved staying here so much and I’ll definitely be coming back.
