voco Fareham - Solent by IHG

A good hotel with helpful staff. Breakfast buffet good. Crazy practice of charging hotel guests to park but that seems to be a growing trend. Be honest and include the charge in the hotel costs instead of hiding additional costs.

Pros: Amazing Aircon. Essential in British Heatwave. Comfortable bed. Quiet room. Nice and dark. Fabulous shower. Cons: Bar area was noisy and only catered table wise to large groups not to a singleton like me. Car charger did not work. Not hotels fault. But couldn't charge car. Hotel parking lot rammed with club/pool goers. No reserved parking for hotel guests. Had to shlep suitcases across carpark. Only English Breakfast tea in room. No proper tea. Comfortable stay overall.

Really good stay, lovely hotel, amazing food and brilliant staff. Will certainly be using again when work requires me to be down south again.

Excellent front of house staff, despite not recognising/registering that we were to have free parking as part of the package. Good sélection at breakfast. Confortable clean room. Plenty of car parking available. We hope to stay again.
