Our overnight stay at the Hotel Indigo was fantastic. A family member had an early morning procedure at MUSC and it was super close to the hospital. The hotel was clean & beautiful, comfortable, and the front desk ladies were exceptional!! I gave the review 3 stars for the amenities solely because of our disappointing experience at the restaurant. The service was nonexistent. We arrived to the hotel around 6PM after driving for almost 2 hours. It was pouring rain, there were flooding advisories & we were not familiar with the area. We had to leave at 5:30AM to be at the hospital. Going to grab dinner was not ideal. After trying to find the restaurant phone number, I went down to the bar to place an order and wait on it. The bar staff never once acknowledged me and I never saw another waiter. I stood by the register at the bar, where 3 bartenders were back and forth. After a few minutes of standing there, another patron came up and asked if I was in line...I said yes. Again, the bartenders were right on the other side of the bar, using the register and serving other people. The bartenders came to her & helped her with what she needed, I assumed she was a regular and they knew what she needed. I was not addressed. I grabbed a menu from the bar near the register to look at it, and still I was never addressed. I tried to make eye contact indicating that I wanted to order. I ended up leaving without ever being spoken to. I'm hoping this is not always the experience.
