Exe Rey Don Jaime Hotel

Air conditioning was off and rooms were hot and uncomfortable to sleep like this. It would off be ok if we could of control it our selves, couldn't hardly sleep like that

The staff at reception were very helpful. The hotel was very comfortable. The breakfast was a disaster - the area was packed and it difficult to find a table, no matter what you were trying to get there was a queue or several people deep waiting, the place was noisy with tables very close together, I guess the staff were flustered because they were very short with requests for anything to the point of being rude. If you stay - don’t have the breakfast - breakfast is supposed to be relaxing - this was the opposite of that.

Checking in/out was fast and easy. Rooms were spacious and cleaned daily. Great menu options for breakfast and dinner. The time window for how long they offered each meal was really good (around 3-4 hours).

Overall, we had a good stay at Hotel Don Jaime. The hotel has good facilities and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The main issue for us was the AC. We spoke to the reception and they kindly changed our room as we requested, but unfortunately the AC in the second room wasn’t much better. I’m not sure if there was a problem with the system or simply because Valencia was extremely hot during our stay in September 2026. Either way, the room could get quite uncomfortable during the summer. The bed was also not the most comfortable we’ve slept in, but it wasn’t a major problem. One thing you shouldn’t forget about is the pool! The staff told us that during summer there is direct sun at the pool until around 6 p.m. After that, it gets shady and a bit windy, so I would recommend enjoying the pool before 6. There is also a bar by the pool, which is a really nice addition. Apart from the AC and the bed, we have nothing to complain about. The staff were great, they tried to help us with the AC issue, and the hotel itself has very good facilities.
