Hampton Inn Memphis/Southaven

Nice friendly staff. Rooms were clean despite the age of the property.

I thought the room would be nicer for the price. We still had trash in our room when we arrived. There was light from the hallway that came in overnight from all sides of the door, not a safe feeling. Night desk person seemed inconvenienced to check us in and no information about the hotel or breakfast was given. The morning staff however was very friendly. Overall an ok stay for the night, but wouldn’t stay again if traveling through.

Good stop over

This hotel is conveniently located. Just south of Memphis, nestled between restaurants and and stores. The manager at check-in was friendly and helpful. My wife had trouble with the television in the room. The manager was able to solve the issue, however, two remotes were involved. This was an issue later when trying to turn the tv off. The room was clean and comfortable. Everything worked. The bathroom was not one pictured in the Hotels.com website. But it was clean and served its purpose. Breakfast was good. Imagine, grits were available on the breakfast bar. We are in the south and from the south and grits were a welcome sight. There was a full time attendant, so nothing was ever completely gone.
