Quality Inn & Suites Northampton - Amherst

Most of the hotel has rooms opening to the outside, with a smaller section that has interior hallways. The rooms are dated, but functional. The lobby has clearly been updated, but the rooms have not. Everything worked and the room was large, but it definitely had a run-down feel to it. Staff were great.

This was for a quick night sleep. Not going to lie, it felt a bit sketchy at first glance, but I was pleasantly surprised. The employee was friendly and helpful at check in. The room was clean and did not have a smoke smell. I will say the outside doors to our building had a card reader to get in but you did not need a card, which kind of creeped me out security wise but it was fine. They had a good selection of breakfast items, make your own waffle machine, eggs, bacon, toast, cereal, yogurt, and more. Also, the coffee at breakfast was fantastic, I normally hate motel coffee, but it was great.

Walkable to downtown and easy biking to the beginning of the bike path(s).

Clean room, nice staff, ok breakfast.
