Hotel Villa Carlotta

Great stay! About a 20ish minute walk to Ponte Vecchio

Our family of 5 had a wonderful 4 night stay in the main building (kids ages 10,12,14). It’s a converted very old Villa that has been nicely renovated and the room sizes were generous; it was so charming! We really appreciated the pool after hot afternoons walking in the crowded city and museums. The neighborhood is just outside the Boboli Garden two blocks from the Roman Gate but felt like we were staying miles away from the busy, crowded city streets. All you see and hear around the Villa are trees and the sounds of the birds, with almost no traffic noise at all. The hotel wasn’t crowded, and breakfast had a nice variety and the most delicious fresh croissants! The staff was very attentive and friendly. It’s a 4 star hotel but I’ll give it five stars for charm, location, amenities and service!

The hotel offers a calm and pleasant environment. Although it is located slightly away from the city centre, it benefits from close proximity to the bus station, providing convenient access to transportation. The room was clean and well maintained, and the breakfast was of good quality. The hotel’s interior design was particularly appealing. Overall, it was a comfortable and satisfactory stay.
