Comfort Suites Southport - Oak Island

Clean room and breakfast

I just loved it here. They also had a pool and a gym (although a bit dated, was functional). The staff were amazing, friendly and very helpful. They provided a lot of snacks if you have children. Breakfast was not the greatest, but I realize that it is hard to get a quality breakfast in many hotels, so I did not hold it against them. I found enough to be satisfied.

We had a nice stay here. The hotel is located on the highway but only 10 minutes from the beach. The breakfast was OK, but they ran out of coffee the second day we were there. (Are you really offering breakfast if you don't have coffee?) We had a large room with two queen beds. The door to the bathroom blocked the sink meaning that you had to come into the bathroom, shut the door, just to wash your hands. I wish the door opening was moved to the other side of the door frame. WIFI was good. The staff was friendly but overwhelmed at times - we were there during the holiday weekend so they were sold out and busy. The place was clean and the pool was small, but refreshing after a hot day on the beach.

Best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had.
