Hotel Rigel

We found Hotel Rigel to be an excellent choice for our 5 nights. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the waterbus stop on Lido on a quiet road. Our room was comfortable and very clean with some interesting touches of Venetian style. As promised by the reviews, the breakfast was a generous spread of fresh fruit, cold meats, cheese, rolls, croissants, cereals, nuts, eggs, salad and a tempting array of biscuits, cake and tarts. The hotel does not have its own restaurant but there are several close by and because the Lido is mostly residential you get a more authentic Venetian experience.There is also the bonus of seeing Venice surrounded by snowcapped mountains...magical. Get ab ACTV pass and you are sorted.

Easy commute from the Main Venice island over to Fido. Very quiet, Clean, and staff was very polite and friendly. Nearby shops and cafe and safe to walk even at night. Definitely recommend and will return for another stay.

Great selection of breakfast foods. Fantastic old world feel.

A big thank you to all the staff at Hotel Rigel. It was nice to see you all again! I have stayed at the Rigel many times over the years and enjoyed seeing the improvements and investment made in that time ( Modern keycards, Upgraded Wi-Fi and improved layout at breakfast to name a few ). The hotel retains its charm and high standards every time. A lovely hotel made great by the wonderful people that work there.
