Candlewood Suites Anaheim - Resort Area by IHG

Love it

We stayed at candlewood for a national powerlifting meet being held at the Anaheim convention center/anaheim Hilton, we chose candlewood because of its location and because of the kitchen, since powerlifting involves a lot of food. From the moment we checked out we had amazing service. The staff really went above and beyond for us and were so kind during our 6 night stay. The hotel is pretty outdated but it was very clean, the ac worked and the kitchen had everything you could need. Parking was super convenient and we never had an issue finding parking. The parking fee is $20 a night. The only negative we experienced was kids screaming through the wee hours of the morning two nights and then another night there were people above us running around their room until 2 or 3 am, so nothing the hotel can control, plus it’s to be expected at a family hotel near Disney, but just wanted to give a heads up that the walls are thin for anyone who needs decent rest. I’d still give this 5 stars though for the staff and cleanliness alone.

The pull-out sofa in the suite was pretty bad. Anyone over ~50 pounds would have a pretty rough time sleeping on it. The queen bed in the bedroom was pretty comfortable though. Otherwise the room was clean but pretty basic, which is to be expected for what the room cost. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The internet was fast and reliable.

Stayed to go to Disneyland and the oogie bogey bash, it’s so close and easy to get to.
