Nice room comfy bed good hotel for my overnight stay

A couple of nights stay in April. We came up from London and arrived a couple of hours early, hoping to either check in early or at the very least that our bags could be held at reception, as you can in some hotels but not here. You can register your car for the car park, and the use of the bar & restaurant. Once checked into our standard room without a sea view, be prepared for a long walk and a few stairs to your room, but once in the room it is clean and well presented. Breakfast on the weekend, if you're like us and you like a slightly later breakfast, you'll be ok. The staff are friendly and helpful. Worth a stay if you're going Sunderland.

Nice location, hotel is an old building but pretty well maintained. Breakfast is good and not too much noise from the attached bar and restaurant
