We were impressed by the true 'grandness' of the building and decor - faded grandeur but charming, with a lively, efficient atmosphere and lovely staff. The setting was perfect with woodland walks behind the hotel but the town itself on its front doorstep. It couldn't have been better. This was our first hotel in Italy and we would love to return. Riolo Terme itself is an interesting and beautiful town and everyone we met was lovely. There is the best pizza restaurant in Italy 15 minutes walk from the hotel too. We loved it there.
