Mariel Hotel Boutique

The hotel staff at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating during my stay. I arrived late at night on my first day and the older gentleman at the front desk was very kind getting me checked in. My room on the third floor was clean and the beds were comfortable with a nice view of the street from the window. However, the bathroom had some mold growing on the upper portion of the door and the ceiling. There was no hair dryer in the bathroom or at the front desk, so make sure to bring your own. The room doesn't have a refrigerator, so don't plan on bringing leftovers or anything that will spoil. The hotel room also requires the room card to be inserted in a holder by the door in order for the lights to be operating, which was annoying especially if someone in your group wants to leave the room and takes the room card with them. Another critique about the hotel was that they only had one elevator. During my stay, there were a lot of guests using the elevator, which took a long time to access the main lobby either because there were too many people in the elevator at one time or because the elevator kept stopping at different floors. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and had a wide variety of fruits, juices, and hot food like eggs and potatoes. The location of the hotel is also very convenient being very close to Parque Kennedy and directly across the street from a nice souvenir market hall with lots of small vendors.

Great staff , very knowledgeable, helpful and kind. Very close to Kennedy park and great location. Nice clean room and they provide free tea/ water in the lobby for guests . Nice inviting and cozy lobby.

The blanket is old and not clean. The shower water slowly drains and leaks to the floor outside the shower. Quite a bit noisy.
