Manatee Bay Inn - Near Fishing Pier Fort Myers Beach

My husband and I needed some time away from life and all of its responsibilities. We found this quaint inn, which is directly on a waterway and less than 5 minute walk to the beach. Everything was spotless and still smelled new - which it was, due to having to rebuild after the devastating hurricanes. The owners are very kind and social, and they made sure we were comfortable. There is a deck directly on the water, including lounge chairs, tiki-umbrellaed tables and chairs. Did I mention the wooden swing for two? The pool is beautifully lit up at night, and heated to a comfortable temperature. The bed was cozy, there was a lot of storage space to unpack and make yourself at home. There was a full kitchenette including fridge, microwave, stove. The shower features a rainfall shower head, or a hand-held wand if you prefer. There is a huge TV mounted on the wall, which we didn't even use because we preferred being outside to wind down for the night. Also worth mentioning - and I don't know how they did this - there were virtually no mosquitos (it's now a sizzling June)! We live in FL, so we are not accustomed to being able to enjoy the outside without getting chewed up. There are several restaurants, food trucks and bars within easy walk. And if you still need to buy beach gear and sand toys, there is a shop also within easy walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and highly recommend this pretty little inn!

The property in the pool was very nice. The location of the hotel was near all the restaurants and shops in the downtown area. The room had a kitchenette and a small living area with a balcony that overlooked the pool. The pool was warm and comfortable, and never crowded. The deck was roomy and comfortable for sunbathing and just sitting around a table for night drinks at sunset. The room could use some more storage and places for your clothes but overall a very nice day.

Very nice property. Easy 5 minute walk to beach and Times Square area. Easy 5 minute walk to great waterfront dining. The owner is fantastic. She showed around and talked with us during our stay. I would highly recommend this property for couples and small families

Check in was easy and efficient. The owners live on property and were very friendly and helpful. This location is near several restaurants and the beach. I will book here again next time I visit FMB
