URH Hotel Zen Balagares

Well built modern hotel. We found our room to be quiet, especially for a large hotel. It was hot and the A/C worked very well. We are traveling with our dog and chose the terrace room, which was perfect. The king bed in our room was super comfy and huge! Biggest king size bed I’ve seen. The spa as great but did cost an extra 30 euro. I would stay there again. We were passing through and did not know the area. One thing to note, the area surrounding the property in every direction are huge factories with smoke massive smoke stacks. They are steal and aluminum factories. It was the weekend so they weren’t in operation but it is a definite and very noticeable part of the surrounding landscape. But again, the hotel is a thumbs up for great rest and spa.

Nice staff

Very friendly staff throughout the hotel.

Disliked being able to see into the bathroom when lights were on. Glass doors very flimsy. Half board evening meal poor choice and meat inedible. Breakfast fine. Receptionist and staff very good. Poor value for price.
