Santa Clara Urban Hotel & Spa

The apartment was very spacious, comfortable, and in an excellent location, with restaurants, shops, and the Cathedral all within easy walking distance. The rooftop area overlooking the Cathedral was a lovely feature and a great place to relax. Also close to the beach.

While there was a spa available, it appeared quite small, and we did not end up using it. In our apartment, the shower screen leaked water onto the bathroom floor, and some of the tapware felt a little loose and wobbly. Another challenge was access by car. If you are renting a vehicle, there is nowhere to stop directly in front of the hotel to load or unload luggage. In addition, rideshare services such as Uber do not appear to pick up directly from the hotel entrance, so we had to rely on taxis instead.

The location is perfect for spending the day walking to the big sights. It was quiet at night, and the staff was very helpful. I was extra surprised at how wonderful the spa was- not something I thought I would even use and it made a huge difference to my enjoyment.

I did not eat the breakfast so I can not comment.

The room decor, with stone wall inlays, was very stylish and the roof garden, with great views of the cathedral, was another jewel

Very little. The phone at the roof garden, put there for placing bar orders, didn’t seem to work so I had to go down 3 floors to order in person. Only a minor inconvenience.

I have stayed here a few times and I really enjoy my stays here. The beds are nice as true doubles. The facilities are very good.

Receiving a call to say my TV was too loud....it wasnt very loud at all and I was staying in a suite with considerable room and I assumed considerable level of soundproofing. Its seems the soundproofing is extremely weak.
