Hôtel Amista Marseille

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was very cute, clean, and well located to nice restaurants, shopping, etc…. The breakfast was great and very nicely ce staff.

Staff was very friendly. The hotel itself was a great spot to come back to and enjoy a drink outside or at their bar. We did the breakfast included and were very happy with the service and food that came with that. It was more than enough for the breakfast. We thought the location was great, especially if you are looking to visit the Vieux Port. Maybe a 10 minute walk to get there. The Port Area had a many cafes and brassieres to choose from. The next street up from the hotel was a very nice outdoor market. Very bustling area. Close access to the tram.

Charming "Frenchiness", well preserved building with tasteful interior design; not "boutiqued". Well located in a lively neighborhood, still a quiet register once in the hotel. The attached Café also deserves credit, as a complement to the hotel per se. I'll repeat the selection when in Marseille again.

Outstanding, smaller hotel in a wonderful (albeit touristic) area. The staff was exceptionally friendly, kind, patient and helpful. The area has literally dozens, maybe more, decent restaurants (many Tunisien places) and great museums and attractions within easy walking distance. Marseille is certainly wrongly maligned as a place to avoid - that is really old news, if it ever was true. The hotel restaurant is a great place to have breakfast, and I recommend spending a little extra to book a room with a balcony and table. It's a lovely way to start the day with a coffee and watch the neighborhood wake-up. A five-star experience at very reasonable prices. Allez l'OM! (if you know, you know!)
