Kimon Athens Hotel

We had a first floor room. It was no frills and there is no elevator, but the bed was comfortable, the air conditioning kept the room cool and comfortable, and it was walking distance to all the sites we were interested in visiting. There is a convenient take away coffee shop across the street from the hotel entrance. There is also a cleaners a short distance up the street where we dropped off some clothes for wash, dry and folding. That was affordable and convenient, so we didn’t waste time dealing with laundry. Our room had a small but useful balcony, and a larger balcony was located on the top floor.

Really quirky concept hotel. Really cool. Fantastic terrace area with view. George on the front desk was a super star and very helpful. Great location. Elegant decor. Could clean hall way carpet .

Kimon Hotel is a true gem in Athens. You cannot beat the location. It has everything you need for a pleasant stay and a great roof terrace, with a wonderful acropolis view. George is stellar and goes out of his to make you comfortable and informed. There is a spot for quick breakfast directly across from the hotel. The hotel is quiet and has amazing air conditioning!

What a great find! This hotel is in Plaka very close to a range of restaurants and lovely shopping streets to explore. It’s close to the Catholic Church in the square of Mitropolios and the metro stations of Syntagma and Monastiraki. The hotel is like an exhibition in itself, quirky lobby and intriguing art on the walls. George, the owner, was very welcoming and I knew from the moment I arrived that I had made a good choice. I had a single room overlooking the Church. It was larger than an average single room and a wider than average single bed with a very comfortable pillow. The aircon worked well. The shower was wonderful, overhead, three directional body sprays and a hand held head unit. I did not have a balcony but I used the rooftop terrace most evenings which was lovely and with a wonderful view of the illuminated Acropolis. I would certainly stay here again on another visit and would recommend to my friends
