Steigenberger Parkhotel Braunschweig

Arrived late and staff could not have been friendlier. They even upgraded my room!

The hotel itself was excellent and the rooms were quiet. There was construction outside the hotel which blocked driving in and out of the area, and unfortunately guests were not notified ahead of time. The taxis could not drive up to the front entrance and instead guests had to transport luggage through the park and with heavy or multiple luggage it was very difficult. I would have offered guests better service to manage the luggage and placed signs outside to notify guests where to ask taxis to park. This is not handled well and several guests were annoyed.

Nice hotel, smallish but decent rooms, dinner a bit disappointing, arrived late after the usual nightmare DB experience, barbecue buffet all that was on offer. Great breakfast though.

My dog and I really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is surrounded by a spacious park and offers a peaceful setting for a relaxing getaway. I parked for free in a nearby street (Theodor),
