Brathay Lodge

Nice clean room , room was on the ground floor at the front so there was a bit of road noise . In hindsight as I was up early for a sporting event I should have asked for a room further away from the road . The bathroom was very nice but decor and furniture in the room was a bit tired , and the bed was not to me and my wife’s liking but that’s just a preference I guess . Generally a very nice place and perfect for our stay

I thought the parking was expensive considering we stayed next door at Rothay Garth for free and breakfast was included

Lovely

My wife and I were in Ambleside for four nights and this turned out to be an excellent place to stay . This is a very, very nice hotel. Extremely clean and well appointed. It is family owned and the attention to detail reflects that is locally owned and operated. They are very accommodating. They lay out an excellent breakfast that is a beauty in itself. And there is a nice selection of amenities in the room. I highly recommend this hotel for any Traveler and would stay here again.
