Whales Way Ocean Retreat

This place overlooks a cliff looking out to sea. We saw literally 100’s of dolphins feeding up and down the coast. The location is close to town, the Ebb & Flow reserve, for the waterfall hike, and a short drive from the “Map of Africa” viewpoint. The breakfast was amazing. The only issue was the heater did not work in the room. We used extra blankets since it was getting cold as we visited in late fall. Overall a great stay

The Sky Penthouse was very large and roomy with a great view. The staff was attentive and the breakfast was excellent. Everything about the hotel was five star. The only two things we were disappointed in was the property was on top of a cliff which led to a gorgeous view but getting to the beach was a little inconvenient. It is not a great beach for sunbathing/picnicing. Also, we had planned to walk to the trails at the national park but this is not easy to do. Overall, excellent stay

Gorgeous view over the Indian Ocean! Friendly and helpful host. Delicious and nicely presented breakfasts. Quiet, all you hear is the waves. Beautiful surprise was the pod of dolphins going by in the morning. Short drive to Wilderness village with plenty of great restaurant options. Highly recommend the Whale’s Way Ocean Retreat.
