The White Lion Inn

Friendly and welcoming, lovely hot breakfast

Interesting pub. Good food. Quirky and interesting. Wasn’t sure at first but enjoyed the stay

The property offers a high standard of basic accommodation. The food was great - a good selection of food and drink - and the service excellent. Not so good was the staircase leading up to the rooms, which was steep, winding and with narrow steps. I appreciate this is a period property and it worked for me; however, those with mobility issues may struggle even with staff assistance. On my visit, the internet was not operational and had not been for several days. It would have been helpful to know this in advance, so I could have prepared to accommodate or, even better, a connection voucher provided by the Inn. This inconvenienced me, yet the Inn offered no compensation for this.

Fantastic little room in a wonderful pub, great staff and location
