Hotel du Lac Champlain, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Calm place is across the street from Lake Champlain, each room has a balcony with a view of either the lake or their golf course. There is also a great spa- Spa Noah on site. One of the most enjoyable parts of the visit is dining at Bistro Greg, fine cuisine with creative chefs along with a large wine collection. The staff is welcoming and very professional. The rooms clean and comfortable. Nice place to get away and relax.

Clean property, nice location

Modern, clean, big room, beautiful lake view.

This is a hidden gem of a hotel. We chose it because of the lower cost compared to hotels in Montreal. The room was spacious, new, and clean. Aside from a towel hook that was coming loose the room was in great shape. The rotating TV wall was a neat feature. Wifi in the room was a bit spotty but the staff kindly allowed me to work for a few hours in a meeting room with strong wifi. Nespresso machine in the room is convenient, but the hotel should provide nespresso brand pods (instead of generic) as they are more compatible with the machine. The golf course is beautiful and we were able to walk the cart path in the early morning and later evening with no golfers present. The spa area, though an extra cost, is relaxing with a good variety of indoor and outdoor spaces and experiences, however, the indoor dry sauna was running at well over 100 degrees C which is beyond what is a safe temperature is for a sauna. The lakeside town was quiet in late September with a few restaurants open and a good grocery store. It was pleasant walking around the town. Highly recommended hotel for a relaxing getaway and a great value in shoulder season.
