We enjoyed our stay very much. The location is excellent and we enjoyed the access to the beach, the hot tub, and the ocean view. It was odd, however, that there were no hot pads in the kitchen, nor bath mats in the bathrooms.

The house was large and fit our family well. There are a lot of stairs, so very young children and seniors need to be careful. The ocean view was nice but not expansive as trees are blocking most of the view. The trail to the beach was lovely. It is steep and challenging at the bottom.

We seem to have had a very similar experience to other reviewers- the location is beautiful, with a lovely path down to the beach (though we had to trim brambles ourselves that were covering the path). The hot tub was nice, and the house is a great size. However, the house is quite run down for this price point, with cracking caulk around showers and sinks, carpet tacks sticking through and stabbing people, etc. the house cleaning was not up to par either, we even found a Ritalin tablet on the living room floor that didn’t belong to any of us. But the biggest problem was by far the bats and the horrible support from Meredith. When we arrived, there was a live baby bat on the floor. We informed the hosts and removed the bat, and they didn’t seem concerned. That night, as someone was tucking their kids into bed, there was a bat climbing down the curtains above their kids’ heads. We worked on getting it out and contacted the hosts, and again they seemed unconcerned and also like this wasn’t their first bat rodeo. I now see that there are reviews form every year about bats in the house, so this is a known issue that the property has not made any effort to mitigate. We discovered that the chimney is full of roosting bats, we could hear them in the stovepipe and see them flying in and out from outside. Bats carry many diseases and it is absolutely unsafe to sleep in a house with bats flying around. This property is unfit and they continue to be negligent.

The house is great, but the downstairs bedroom door locks from the inside. Other than that is was an amazing experience!
