This was a wonderful waterfront property for our extended family to rent for a week. The house is beautiful, and the amenities were wonderful. Waterfront views, sunrise over the Chesapeake, water fun on the bay and in the pool, kayaks and paddleboard available and everything provided (linens, towels, paper towels, coffee pods, etc); the owners have thought of everything a vacationing family could need. Quiet area yet close to stores and restaurants, everything was perfect. Just bring your stair climbing muscles because there are a lot of stairs...well worth the effort, though. Owners were fantastic and communication was fast and easy. Highly recommend!

Most beautiful and spacious property we’ve ever stayed at!

This place was truly an oasis! As advertised, every bedroom had a gorgeous view of the bay and the sunrises were so beautiful over the water that it was like watching a breathing painting. Stepping into the backyard not only yields multiple seating areas to enjoy the view but also a serene garden landscape that invites butterflies and humming birds. Wildlife is abundant; we saw fox, deer scampering across the yard, hedgehogs, and several eagles just to name a few. And that was just on land! The private dock offers the perfect space to cast a line and sit back, or climb down the ladder and walk around in the bay. The pool is huge, with room to float around on one of the multiple floats already provided. If you get tired of sunning on a lounge chair, there are high bar chairs at the railing that are perfect viewing spots to watch the multiple sailboats dotting the water.The house was spacious and laid out in a way that everyone could truly have their own space even though we had a large group. Just exploring the house was an adventure on its own. There was so much to do for all ages (our group was 6 yrs to 64 yrs) that there was no need to leave the house for activities. Everyone can just slow down and be together. The whole place was so well stocked that there was no need to bring any "extras" ourselves. Look in the pantry and spice cabinets before planning a grocery run because it's probably already there! The host was communicative and responsive, a pleasure to deal with.

We arrived to a modest entry way strewn with several days worth of leaves and seed pods. After a few near slips, I emailed the property manager. We were promptly informed a handyman would arrive to tidy up, but that never happened, so my husband swept the entry way before our guests arrived that evening. I scrubbed a few bannisters, which were too dirty to touch, and bought a few scented Glade candles to help with the staleness. When we got in the pool, it was clear that the heater had not been turned on, so my husband walked through that with the property owner on the phone. The random assortment of body hair throughout the house was cringey. The dirty floorboards and mold in the bathrooms was disappointing. This house needs a really good scrubbing and a fresh coat of paint on the scraped-up walls. There’s certainly nothing wrong with an IKEA furnished rental, but it should be clean and tidy. On the plus side: the house has a great view and plenty of space - we were there with two other families and it did not feel at all crowded. It was also very nice to have the play scape for the kiddos to enjoy (no surprise, it also needs some fixin’). The small pier was perfect for letting the kids catch and release some small croakers.
