We stayed at Casa del Sol in late June/early July with two families, including teens and young adults. With seven bedrooms each with a private bath, everyone had plenty of space. The best part is the oceanfront setting with an infinity pool looking out over the ocean. We spent a lot of time there swimming, hanging out, listening to music.There was some light sargassum, and we saw the local community working hard to clean the shore and water, but it didn't impact our enjoyment of the ocean. We still swam; the kids had fun using the kayak in the ocean; and we headed off for snorkeling one day after being picked up from the beach, which the kids thought was cool.We loved Puerto Morelos' walkability and being able to send the kids off to go get their own ice cream. The distance to town is about 1 km. If it was too hot to walk, we used the house bikes with baskets for quick trips. Along with dining out and enjoying wonderful food in restaurants, we figured out local restaurant delivery for chill days. And, one evening after a day trip to Chichén Itzá (a highlight), we came home to a delivered dinner of regional home cooking, made by the mother of one of the team looking after the house. It was convenient and delicious.Overall, Casa del Sol worked really well for our group: a spacious property; lots to do around the pool, ocean and town without needing a car; a friendly team nearby; and a beautiful and distinctive setting.

10 out of 5-stars!!! Can’t say enough about this great beach home, infinity pool, and staff. Also love that the town of Puerto Morelos works hard to keep the beach CLEAN!!! The water was beautiful and we saw so many fish turtles and other sea life with a quick swim from our beachfront to the nearby coral. The team of caretakers are over the top professional and kind. We had dinner made for us 4-nights during our week and it was the best decision we made…, other than booking this wonderful house. Food was hot, fresh, and authentic. We feel spoiled. And it is affordable. Our whole family loved that we felt cared for in a beautiful home with a beautiful pool, a beautiful beach, and in a safe town that offers so many restaurants and fun shops. Puerto Morelos is truly an authentic experience and Casa Del Sol is an over the top, exceptional place to celebrate friends and family. Thank you team Casa Del Sole!!!!
