White Hart Hotel

Excellent pub and restaurant. And charming historic building but modern renovation.

The hotel is great; it really has all the good vibes you can expect from such an old building. It actually adds to the experience. Sadly, we went during the heatwave, and our room was so hot- hotter than our teen's room by at least 2-3 degrees Celsius. We had a tiny desk fan with a very small window, so the heat was unbearable with almost no way to cool down. Because we had a vaulted ceiling, I think a ceiling fan should be added for improved airflow. I don't think A/C is required since it doesn't last that long and would be very cost-prohibitive. At least 1 standing fan per bed would have made a whole lot of difference. I'm overall happy with our choice, and any other time of the year this complaint wouldn't have existed but it's worth mentioning.

This hotel is special: beautiful common areas and sleeping accommodations, charming and historic, and with an especially responsive staff. Clean, roomy, well-maintained, comfortable, everything you’d expect from a hotel of this caliber. I couldn’t recommend any higher. You’ll be assured of an excellent stay.

We stayed in a very large room in a cottage at the rear of hotel it was very comfortable The room was decorated in an olde world style it was very clean The bathroom was large and very modern . There was a car park at the rear of the hotel The village was lovely very quiet with some nice walks .We were hoping to use the bus service but it did not go into oxford so we used a park and ride service and visited oxford that way.The staff at the hotel were really nice pleasant and helpful
