The property is a period house and the owner Chris has kept it to that style, very clean with a excellent breakfast cooked to perfection by Chris with a wide and varied choice of food.
Whitwell is a designated dark sky area with some very pretty houses lots of thatched roofs, the local pub is only a few minutes walk and well worth a visit, the food is excellent.
I would definitely recommend a stay at Kingsmede ,it fulfilled all my wife and I hopes

Property provided a home from home experience with superb breakfast the icing on the cake. Information was available in lounge but the host gave so much more giving us an extremely enjoyable couple of days. Will be returning in the future.

Good choice for a dog friendly B&B. Comfortable, clean room, with parking and garden. Character property in a small village, great location for exploring the island.
Friendly and helpful host, who does a fantastic breakfast to set you up for the day!
