The Moorland Hotel, Haytor, Devon

Beautiful position at base of Haytor Rocks. Parking easy and plenty of room inside and outside no matter what the weather. Staff great. Would recommend try and book with breakfast included. Likely to be a better deal. It is a shame the hotel has yet to install an electric charging point. There is one at an adjacent tourist facility but out or order. Other than that great!

Breakfast good choice, poached eggs overdone and staff cheerful. Paper thin walls mean you hear every small noise so not great. Lovely grounds to walk in and the nearby Rock Inn pub well worth a visit.

Lovely place to stay. Gorgeous gardens, comfortable bed and spotless bathroom. Lots of choice on the menu and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic. I cannot fault anything

We had a wonderful stay at the Moorland Hotel Haytor and were very impressed from start to finish. The room was comfortable, well presented and had everything we needed, while the staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. The location is fantastic, with the beautiful Dartmoor landscape right on the doorstep, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. The service was excellent and really added to the overall experience. We also had brunch during our stay, which was excellent — a great choice of food, beautifully presented and very enjoyable. Overall, a lovely hotel in a superb location with genuinely friendly service. We would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it.
