It was a lovely place with nice facilities, it was comfortable and had a great view. It had great potential.
It seemed we always had to find the staff when we needed something. Only one person worked both the reception and lounge.
Breakfast was quite good but was very chaotic. Food ran out and was not refilled, there were no coffee cups, tables were not cleared and it felt like a mess.

Location was perfect!, the room was spotless. Stunning views and the pool was so welcome in the heat of September. Staff was wonderful, helpful and friendly.

The hotel staff were amazing--they really made the difference for the stay especially the front desk. The breakfast was good (scrambled eggs and bacon plus the usual meat/cheese cuts) and the lady running the kitchen was helpful. I enjoyed the pool a good bit--it is a really nice pool with plenty of room for guests to spread out.
The main thing about the LBV house is the location--it is a pretty good walk to town and back (200+ feet of elevation change) so, if you stay a few days as I did, you get a pretty good workout going up and down for lunch and dinner as the hotel does not open the restaurant for lunch or dinner. They do have sandwiches in the bar that are pretty tasty, so that is an alternative.

Wonderful views, capped off by its excellent swimming pool.
Rooms were starting to look tired and in need of a refresh. Despite a request to fix a very wobbly toilet seat no repair was carried out (and was exceedingly obvious it had been an issue for some time).
Breakfast options also need a refresh
