The location is excellent! Lovely downtown area next to the canal. The venue is in an old-style house, with steep stairs, tiny corridors, and a packed common area. The room is nice, and stylish. The reception, kitchen is small and cozy. There is a huge smoking room but also enough place for non-smokers. I recommend visiting this place in good weather; otherwise, the ventilation of the room is challenging.
The old-style bunk beds are small, and you can feel every single movement, what your neighbors are doing. The lockers are tiny, but enough for a standard cabin-size luggage OR for a backpack.

Very easy to find and check in, basic but clean.
Great views over the canal and the smoking room is a great space to unwind.
Nothing that is out of the ordinary in Amsterdam but the stairs were a challenge as we were on the top floor.

Great location, staff were wonderful, clean place, price affordable
It was so hot. I know Europe doesn’t have AC in most budget places, but our room had the hot water pipe running through the room, So, constant radiator in room in summer temperatures. Only part of the pipe was insulated, would be such an easy fix to reduce heat be insulating entire pipe. Very steep stairs to enter, but when you are down there is a hidden step that you almost miss.
