Mvuvi Fishing Lodge

Nice little hotel in watamu. the staff is super nice and helpful, the room is big and comfortable. I like the style and the bathroom has hot water all the time. Breakfast is good quality, I even had dinner once and it was delicious. The place has few rooms and when I was there, it was very calm, perfect for resting. Walking distance from the beach.

the location was great. the bathroom was clean and the shower was hot and the pressure was perfect! the staff were really kind. breakfast and dinner were delish! overall, everything was pristine and will definitely book again. x

There is a nice swimming pool and the place is rather quiet at night. A big supermarket is right in front and that a very confortable.

It Is not located near the centre or near any recommences beach. The utilities of the kitchen are very basic.

Mvuvi's location and staff are great. It's a cosy lodge and well equipped with a bar, restaurant, and pool on the premises. The budget room was small but fairly comfortable.

Unfortunately, we had a difficult experience. Mvuvi operates a bar, which is nice, but they kept it open playing loud music until after 1:30am on a Sunday night (after we had repeatedly asked for the music to be turned down). The physical layout is compact, with rooms only 10-15 meters from the bar and their doors facing it directly. It was impossible to sleep, and the bar patrons were not staying at the hotel, but rather attendees. The staff member running the bar tried to help, but he also couldn't get them to quiet down until very late. The budget room was also a little musty and could have been improved with better ventilation! Mvuvi has a nice layout and welcoming people, but management needs to consider the sleeping guests as well as the bar profits. It has a lot of potential and I hope they can solve this hopefully infrequent issue and be a great place to stay. All the best.
