B Nineteen

B Nineteen turned out better than we expected. Great location within a quiet leafy suburb, it was the perfect place to land at the end of busy days. Breakfast is simple but filling & delicious. The rooftop has amazing views of Humayun’s Tomb. Make sure you have dinner up there at least once. The staff are friendly & helpful. Our host, Ajay, was very quick to help me find an emergency dentist… He also arranged our airport transfers & driver for a couple of days. Sunil made sure we saw all of the sights & found some great vegetarian restaurants. We would definitely recommend staying here.

I really liked the area. The hotel is located in a separated part of the city. A small residental quarter, very clean and green. Cafes, clean shops.

There is a very big railwaystation just round the corner. If you have a weak sleep, it can disturb you a lot. There is a lot of trains going through the night.

The staff was great and the room and balcony were perfect. It is close to the Nizamuddin Railway Station. It is quiet in the neighborhood.

The owner/manager seemed to want to make things more difficult than they should have been. I had to ask three or four times for directions to the train station before he would show me the way out of the compound. I didn't get to try the breakfast because they didn't serve the Indian breakfast until 9:00 am. I needed to settle up the evening before I left and he wouldn't accept a credit card for beers and food. He has a credit card machine, he just refused to use it. I was scraping up US dollars and Euros because there is no ATM machine close by. For the cost of the room, I expected a little more effort from the management.
