The first night of my road trip in France and Clementines House provides a great start. I have seen it said that people should know that there are steep steps to the mezzanine bedroom so if you had mobility challenges then perhaps not for you, but a lovely little hide away and very smart. All the arrangements to get into the house arrived by phone. A great example of getting a small place to work well.

We had a spacious room with a comfortable bed and plenty of storage space in the wardrobe. There was a good coffee machine and the bathroom was clean with a wonderful shower. We also really appreciated having a breakfast table with cutlery in the room.
Unfortunately, the downstairs room was quite noisy, both from the road and especially from the room above us and the staircase. We could hear every footstep, and guests leaving early in the morning woke us up. It would also be helpful to provide washing-up liquid, a sponge, a tea towel and a small bin for breakfast waste. These are small and easy improvements.

Comfortable bed, good location, nicely renovated
Our first room smelled damp and mouldy so had to change rooms. The coffee machine didn’t work.
