The location is close to the city center. The apartment is clean. The heating was appreciated.

There is no parking without a specific parking permit for the District 1 . One night we arrived late and parked on the street. By 8am we had not one but two parking fines, 50 euros each. We eventually left our car at the paid parking at the distance and just used taxis. The apartment itself is not bad. Only one toilet and a separate shower further down the hall but it's an old building so it's understandable. Strictly one thin pillow per person and a 1/2 roll of toilet paper for all of us.

Excellent central location, this was a very late booking for us having been let down on our actual booking. Host was very responsive given the timing. Apartment is vast in size and our boys much appreciated having their own rooms. Fans were provided in each room given the heat of the summer and there were toiletries in each of the bathrooms, along with coffee and dishwasher pods. Fridge was a good size and plenty of crockery.

Whilst there are 3 sockets in the kitchen and multiple appliances only one is functional which is a shame, also a personal preference would be to have the dining table and chairs in the lounge area as the kitchen was a bit darker so we wanted to sit in the lounge. Overall though it was amazing.

Location was great, kitchen had everything we needed, all very clean.

Squeaky floors if we had to say something!

The apartment is situated right in the centre of Vienna and could not be better. There are supermarkets within five minutes walk. The Opera House is also just a few minutes away.

There were however some problems, particularly a lack of ventilation in the shower room as the extractor fan was not working. It had a very unpleasant smell. The lighting was poor in the kitchen and shower room and the kitchen was not well-equipped for self catering. There were no wine glasses and a lot of the crockery was chipped. There were saucers but no cups; only one pasta bowl; no spatula. The bedding was poor quality - very lumpy pillows and the duvet covers and pillow cases were worn with broken zips. We did contact the owner and he came the following morning with an electrician to fix the lighting and the extractor fan. He brought us a bottle of wine, some glasses and replacement plates, which was appreciated. The quality of the equipment provided was really not good enough and closer monitoring of the state and contents of the apartment should have been carried out. We got the feeling that the owners were keen on saving their expense rather than providing a first class experience.
